Rowan Precision is continuing its investment-led growth strategy with a new recruitment drive focused on strengthening both its production machining capability and operational support functions.
The Birmingham-based precision engineering business is actively recruiting a CNC Machinist, (Setter / Operator) alongside a new Customer / Supplier Liaison Administrator role as demand continues to grow across aerospace, defence and high-performance manufacturing sectors.
The recruitment campaign reflects Rowan Precision’s continued investment in people, technology and long-term manufacturing capability following significant upgrades across sliding head machining, metrology and quality systems over the past 18 months.
Operating from its advanced CNC machining facility, Rowan specialises in high precision turned and machined components using sliding head, fixed head and multi-axis machining technologies for customers requiring tight tolerances, traceability and dependable delivery performance.
According to Rowan Precision CFO Glenn Aston, the latest recruitment push is about building a business culture capable of supporting sustainable long-term growth.
“We are investing heavily in the future of Rowan Precision, and that means investing in people just as much as machinery and systems,” said Aston.
“Success in modern manufacturing for us is about creating the right team culture, developing skills internally and building an environment where people want to grow with the business.”
The company’s CNC machining recruitment campaign is intentionally focused on attitude and cultural fit as much as existing technical capability.
While experience in sliding head machining is seen as advantageous, Rowan says it is prepared to train and develop individuals with general CNC machining experience who demonstrate the right work ethic and willingness to learn.
“Skills can be developed with the right support and training,” Aston explained. “What is harder to teach is attitude, reliability, teamwork and a commitment to quality. Those are the qualities that define Team Rowan.”
The business has increasingly positioned itself as a strategic manufacturing partner to aerospace and defence customers looking to de-risk supply chains through reliable UK precision engineering capability.
Recent investments include Citizen sliding head machinery with LFV technology, upgraded metrology systems including Keyence and Aberlink equipment, alongside strengthened digital quality processes aligned to AS9100, ISO9001 and ISO13485 standards.
Alongside production engineering recruitment, Rowan Precision is also strengthening its operational coordination capabilities through the appointment of a Customer / Supplier Liaison Administrator.
The role will support Technical Sales Manager Neil Williams and Head of Operations Karen Harrison-Thomas with customer communication, supplier coordination and administrative activities designed to support production efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
“As the business grows, maintaining communication and coordination across customers, suppliers and production teams becomes even more important,” added Aston.
“This role will play a key part in ensuring we continue delivering the service levels and responsiveness our customers expect.”
Rowan Precision says the latest recruitment drive forms part of a wider long-term strategy focused on operational resilience, workforce development and strengthening UK manufacturing capability within critical industries.
The company is encouraging applications from individuals who want to develop their careers within a modern precision engineering environment and become part of what it describes as a collaborative and ambitious manufacturing culture.
