Rowan Precision Ltd Showcased 40 Years of Excellence at Southern Manufacturing 2025
Rowan Precision Ltd, a Birmingham-based leader in subcontract machining, exhibited at the Southern Manufacturing 2025 event.
As the company celebrated its 40th anniversary, we had one of the busiest exhibitions ever, with over double the average number of visitors to our stand.
Founded in 1984 by engineers Martin Barker and Chris Kent, Rowan Precision has grown from its humble beginnings to become a leader in the precision engineering industry, with it’s future secured under Jaz Khunkun and Glenn Aston.
The company’s journey reflects a commitment to continuous improvement and technological advancement.
Karen Harrison-Thomas, Head of Operations, commented, “Our participation in Southern Manufacturing 2025 is a testament to our ongoing commitment to innovation. We were excited to showcase our enhanced capabilities, including our new Citizen L32 machinery with LFV technology.

Rowan Precision’s state-of-the-art facility in Birmingham houses cutting-edge CNC turn-mill technology, including both fixed and sliding head lathes. This advanced equipment allows the company to deliver components with unparalleled precision and efficiency for diverse sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and medical.
The team were keen to talk to visitors about the company’s recent investment in a Citizen L32 machinery, a machine with Low Frequency Vibration (LFV) technology. This technology marks a significant leap forward, maximising tool life enabling longer production runs on challenging materials.
Rowan Precision’s presence at Southern Manufacturing 2025 came on the heels of their recent joining of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA) and completion of a 12- week AI Adoption course.
