Tender Opportunity – Energy Efficient CNC Sliding Headstock Turning Centre
Rowan Precision Ltd is investing in a new energy efficient CNC sliding headstock turning centre to reduce energy consumption and operating costs. This includes the replacement of older, less energy efficient turning equipment to improve production efficiency.
An initial review of available solutions has identified the following equipment types as suitable benchmarks; however, alternative equipment will be considered where it can demonstrate performance equivalent to or exceeding the capability of the referenced items.
The proposed scope currently comprises:
CNC sliding headstock turning centre (32 mm bar capacity, 15 axes, programmable chip-breaking, all-electric servo with energy-saving idle stop), with performance equivalent to or exceeding the capability of the benchmark Citizen Cincom M32-VIII LFV.
Automatic bar feeder and swarf handling with neat oil recovery, benchmark Iemca Boss 338-32-HD Combo bar feeder with Citizen Combi 500 conveyor
High-pressure coolant system (neat oil, 140 bar at 20 L/min), benchmark Pumps & Equipment CM20-2000-6.
Oil mist extraction unit (700 m³/hr, IE4 EC fan with VFD, H13 HEPA final stage, LEV tested), benchmark McCarthy Environmental MC700N.
