Rowan Precision’s representative, Neil Williams, visited the House of Lords with a delegation of UK manufacturers to discuss our key challenges with Ministers and Peers
As part of the leading communities representing UK manufacturing, Made in the Midlands, Rowan Precision had the opportunity to visit Westminster to discuss key challenges facing the manufacturing industry.
Rowan’s Neil Williams had a lengthy conversation with Minister for Manufacturing Jackie Doyle-Price who was very receptive to the concerns about the current skills shortage, and how what was once considered a dirty and dead-end career path should now be considered as a great opportunity for students going through school and college. This was echoed with other members, who identified this as a key issue within our industry.
Made in the Midlands have submitted a letter to parliament identifying the key challenges, and this has been issued to each MP, and the response has been very positive.
